Writing Club

Writing Club with Jacki Carr (and friends) is a portal for expression and creativity. This is a writer’s club not just for writers, it is curated for all of you seeking a space to express, explore, get curious and put pen to a page on purpose. Some times we need a guide to get going and other times we need accountability in our calendar to show up and even get curious about writing.

Join us and find your words, your story, your creativity.

Join Jacki Carr in her newest offering, the Writing Club. Every week on Tuesday at 10am EST, you are invited to write with a group of other creative humans on ZOOM. Call themes we have so enjoyed have been: creating with oxymorons, choice in perspective with words, wild writing with poetry and jump off lines, and personification and the art of noticing. Each week, there is time at the end for open and optional sharing and this has felt like creative salve in a community of humans seeking, feeling, making words have meaning unique to them and then, shared with us.

Dates: Tuesdays (every week)

Time: 10am EST - 11am EST

Duration: 1 hour

Each month we will break it down like this:

WEEK 1: Guided journal prompts to start our writing

WEEK 2: Free write with intention setting at the start.

WEEK 3: Free write with open sharing at the close.

WEEK 4: Writing Themes, Guest speakers, Writing rituals,…

MARCH GUEST SPEAKER : Brooke McAlary, author, podcast host, trying-to-figure-it-out-er

Why Write?

Why Write?

  • “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

    ― Maya Angelou

  • “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”

    ― Anais Nin

  • “And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”

    ― Sylvia Plath
